To all those begging for a blog...here it is! I finally have done it and joined the blogging team. I must say I am not promising much, in fact, I am not promising anything but what's done is done and here I am. I apologize for my lack of homemaking skills and my inability to make this blog cute like so many others I have seen but I will try my hardest to at least make someone smile occasionally as they read my blog.
Enough about the blog! We have made it to Washington D.C. at last! Broc started working on Monday and so far he is loving every moment of it. In the meantime, I am stuck here at home pretending I have things to do to fill my time. In between the online class I am doing for my upcoming masters program and the dwindling supply of boxes to be unpacked I find myself filling the empty days with journal reading, running, looking to see if there is anything yummy in the fridge, fanatical mail-box checking, facebook stalking....the list goes on! Pretty boring if you ask me! In other words VISITORS ARE WELCOME!
Upcoming events I am anxiously looking forward to:
1.) My father's 50th birthday/Mom's done with the Bar celebration on August 14th. You heard me! The old man is turning 50! Over the hill for good this time! :) And yes, none of us ever thought the day would come but my mother will finally be done with the Bar hopefully for good.
2.) My mom and Carissa are planning to come visit me in August meaning I will have real live people to talk with each and every day. YIPPEE! We are planning on going to the pool, playing tennis, reading mind-numbing books that don't make you any smarter but are so great, and if I have it my way partaking of yummy treats regularly! Ladies parties are always the best.
3.) School actually starting on August 30th. I didn't think I would ever get caught saying the I was looking forward to, much less anxiously looking forward to school starting but alas the day has come! I am starting my masters in Social Work degree at the Catholic University of America and I am thrilled! My life will finally have meaning once more! (if any of you who may be reading this are Catholic or know a lot about the Catholic church fill free to fill me in! Any tips and information would be greatly appreciated!)
Well all you Buttars lovers...like I said before, what's done is done. Hope you find this blog somewhat uplifting, funny, exciting, updating! All of the above! Love to you all and happy posting!
-Natters
P.S. I also apologize for my excessive use of the exclamation point! If this bugs you please know that I have fairly warned any readers that I have an obsessive tendency to use the exclamation point way more than necessary! Understand that this tendency will not be changing any time soon so please be forewarned!
